    Recommendations

I worked for Andy as we developed a Sports Marketing group at MCI and would highly recommend him. If you are looking for a person that has the entrepreneurial spirit but can still work in a global Fortune 50 environment, look no further. He fully understands how to impact the bottom line and increase sales. Before Andy came on board, efforts in MCI sports marketing were concentrated on branding, hospitality and advertising with sponsorships scattered throughout the company. Andy was able to bring the unit together as one cohesive group, with consistent goals and objectives. Additionally, we developed a model for B2B marketing that was unique and increased the ROI of our properties. Without Andy’s sound business acumen, understanding of sponsorships and comprehension of customer’s business drivers, this would not have been accomplished. He excels at business development and driving sales. He was a great boss and I enjoyed working for him.

Andy taught me a great deal about seeing the business of sports sponsorships through the eyes of arguably one of the biggest sponsors in the sports and entertainment industry (mid-90's – 2002). Andy ran a $40M+ budget for MCI and we consistently ranked year after year in the top 10 as a global sports sponsor with the likes of Anheuser- Busch, AT&T, General Motors, UPS, etc. I came in under his leadership with a bit of a chip on my shoulder having come from a large sports league - NASCAR and I thought I knew it all. What he taught me was that when you're on the other side of fence as a sponsor - the attention to detail is tenfold as you must be concerned about your own customers, your brand, your team, senior management and the properties you select as partners because everyone is watching. He showed me that you are now the customer, but never to forget that you have customers to answer to always. He understand that you should be treated with respect and fairly, as long you treat others in the same fashion. His ability to manage a large team and keep us completely focuses on the goal of winning new business through our sports platforms was vital to our success. Andy sees the big picture and I highly recommend him.

Andy is a hard working individual who is skilled in executing successful marketing strategies. He has been recognized by Little Caesars as a top marketer and increased his store sales by becoming involved in the community and creating awareness of the brand in Buford, Georgia..
